Stakeholder buy-in

All the potential stakeholders for the project should be identified as early as possible. If they have not been involved in the business case/funding process then they will need some form of communication to tell them about the project and how it benefits or impacts them. The best way to tackle this is to first identify the stakeholders and then to create a communications plan on how any communications about the project should be dealt with for each stakeholder or group of stakeholders. This plan should cover timings, content, type of communication etc. Once the plan is formed then its time to go and talk to the stakeholders!
